Bob Pizzitola is a second generation native of La Porte, Texas with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas and a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance with honors from Southern Methodist University. Acceptance into and graduating from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutger’s University in New Jersey and the Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma resulted in achieving the title of Certified Commercial Lender.
After spending over twenty-five years in commercial banking in the greater Houston area, Bob began a “second career” with PaineWebber (later to become UBS Financial) in the downtown Houston office. Fifteen years later, Bob and Dow decided to combine their financial experience by forming the partnership of Bayshore Financial Advisors.
Being active in volunteer work throughout his career, Bob works with Rotary, the La Porte Education Foundation, Neighborhood Centers Inc., the Chamber of Commerce, and various local youth organizations.
In addition to his son, Dow, Bob has a daughter, Courtney Taylor, and five grandchildren, Madison and Hudson Taylor and Liam, Grant and Caroline Louise Pizzitola.
A 1998 graduate from the University of Texas, Dow immediately went to work for AIM Investments in Houston, TX. He served as a marketing specialist assisting financial advisors in choosing investment options that met their client’s needs.
In 2001, Dow was promoted to the Private Asset Management group. It was here where Dow gained extensive knowledge in asset allocation using separately managed accounts (SMA’s). His main function was to support and educate financial advisors in using AIM as a separate account manager within their asset allocation models and platforms.
After spending almost two years with AIM Private Asset Management, Dow took an opportunity to sail south with his long time friend to St. John, USVI. He spent his time exploring the Caribbean and working for a water sports company that offered diving, snorkeling and night sails. It was here where he met his wife Courtney.
Upon returning, Dow went back to work at AIM for a brief time before he and his father decided on creating Bayshore Financial Advisors in 2006. Dow lives with his wife Courtney and three children, Liam, Grant and Caroline in League City.
